Call:
The main topic of the 23rd Workshop on Aggression will be "Discrimination, Radicalization, and Aggression". Discrimination can occur on the basis of a variety of characteristics (e.g., age, gender, weight, belief, sexual orientation or identity) and is often accompanied by a number of negative consequences on the individual and the group level. Hence, the question arises, how discrimination and aggression overlap (e.g., regarding ethnic bullying, weight-related teasing) and how the two phenomena can be separated. Empirical research on if and how (self-perceived) experiences of discrimination and disadvantage may influence aggressive behavior or even radicalization processes is starting to emerge. During the conference, further risk factors for and processes leading to radicalization as well as possibilities to prevent these processes will be introduced.
As a participant in the 23rd Workshop on Aggression you can contribute to this topic or any other aggression-related topic.
Young scientists (students, PhD students) can apply for the poster price.
